What is the MOMS Club?
The MOMS Club is an international non-profit organization offering support for moms and their children. "MOMS" stands form "MOMS Offering Moms Support" We offer a variety of activities for moms, their children and the whole family. We also do service projects to assist local moms, children and families in the community in times of need.

Do I have to live in Calabasas to join this chapter?
The MOMS Club is all about meeting other moms and kids in your own community; therefore we do ask that members live in either Calabasas or Agoura Hills. There are other chapters in almost every neighboring community, and we can refer you to the MOMS Club chapter in your city if there is one. If there isn't one in you particular city, we can help you to start up your own chapter. Go to www.momsclub.org to be placed in a chapter or to get information on how to start a chapter.

Can I attend a MOMS Club activity before I decide to join?
There are two types of activities that non-members can attend before they join. We strongly recommend that you come to one of our monthly Member's Meetings or Park Days (please ask our Membership VP about locations for these events). You may attend up to two Member's Meetings, two Park Days, or one of each before deciding whether or not you will join the club. It is a National MOMS Club bylaw that ONLY MEMBERS may attend playgroups, field trips, MOMS Night Out, parties, or other special activities or events.

How active do I need to be in the MOMS Club?
In order for the club to run smoothly, members must work together and volunteer their time to help with activities, fundraising, service projects, making phone calls etc. We would love for everyone to be involved in some way, whether it means being on the Board, chairing or helping out with a Committee, or coordinating activities. This is a club run by its members, so only if everyone volunteers to pitch in will we have a club that will be fun for everyone. You and your children will get so much more out of the club if you are an active participant. Just speak with a Board Member if there is anything that you would like to do... we will find the committee that's just right for you!

What type of Service Projects do you do?
Because the MOMS Club is about supporting moms, children, and families, we are also involved with helping needy moms and children in our community. We are required by International MOMS Club to hold at least one service project per year, but we always do much more than that. Our past and future Service Projects include collecting donations for local battered women's shelters, helping local boys homes, collecting funds for Angel's Way, a canned food drive to feed homeless families, raising funds for abused children's programs, assisting Missing Children's organizations, and helping individual families in need. If you have any ideas about service projects, please let us know.

What does it cost to join?
Annual membership dues are $30, and are due at the time you join. Dues help to defer many of the costs of running the club... renting of rooms or equipment for meetings, arts & crafts items for the kids to use, and anything else we might need. As this is a non-profit club, the Board and other Committee members are volunteers and are not paid in any way. If the dues would be a hardship for your family, please talk to one of our Board Members.
